Our Civil Rights team offers legal representation to individuals facing discrimination or hate crimes, helping to protect constitutional freedoms for all Americans. Our Immigrants’ Rights team offers legal support to empower immigrant communities and ensure they have access to the protections they deserve.

Advancing Policy and Advocacy

CAIR-CA’s Advocacy team works to amplify Muslim voices in the political arena. Through legislative advocacy, public testimony, and community education, CAIR-CA addresses policies impacting the Muslim community and champions issues of justice, equality, and inclusion. By organizing voter registration drives and educational workshops, CAIR-CA ensures that California’s Muslim population is an informed, engaged, and active part of the state’s democracy.

CAIR-CA offers programs designed to develop the next generation of Muslim leaders. With the Muslim Gamechangers Network, the Muslim Youth Leadership Program, and robust internship opportunities, CAIR-CA equips youth with the knowledge, skills, and experience to lead effectively and inspire their communities. CAIR-CA also conducts workshops and trainings to educate the public on issues impacting the Muslim community. From “Know Your Rights” workshops to community discussions on Islamophobia and civil rights, CAIR-CA is dedicated to providing resources that empower individuals.

CAIR-CA’s Communications Department works actively with local media to foster an accurate and respectful portrayal of Islam and Muslims.
