Bayan Academy

Program Supervisor Sheikh Dr. Mohamed ElBenniBayan Academy is a program of Quranic Sciences offered by MAS Youth Center of New Jersey (MYCNJ) to meet the needs and to service our community. The program is under the supervision of Sheikh Dr. Mohamed ElBenni. Currently, we are offering a variety of classes for children and youth as detailed in this website. We plan on adding more classes in the short term and on expanding the program to be a comprehensive program for Quranic Sciences in the longer term inshaAllah

MAS CNJ Halaqa Program for Teens

The MAS Youth Center of NJ offers a weekly halaqa program for Muslim youth aged 16 and above. Directed by Brother Tarek Sharaf, the program provides a safe and welcoming space for teens to deepen their understanding of Islam, connect with peers, and strengthen their faith. As parents, you want your children to have access to a program that not only enriches their understanding of Islam, but also allows them to socialize and make new friends. The MAS Youth Center of NJ’s halaqa program is the perfect opportunity for your child to do just that.The halaqa meets every Friday at 7:30 pm and is led by experienced teachers and speakers who are knowledgeable about the needs and interests of teenagers. The program covers a range of topics related to Islam, including spirituality, ethics, and social justice. Sometimes a guest speaker comes to address the youth, providing valuable insights and perspectives on the topics being discussed. In addition to the regular program, the halaqa sometimes includes fun activities such as group discussions, games, and quizzes, which come with prizes to add an element of excitement and competitiveness.Pizza and Refreshments: Making the Gathering More EnjoyableThe MAS Youth Center of NJ believes that socializing and learning should go hand in hand. That’s why they provide pizza and light refreshments at every gathering, to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere that encourages participation, active learning, and social interaction. This helps to ensure that your child will not only be learning and growing in their faith but also making new friends and enjoying themselves in the process.Weekly Gatherings with Experienced Teachers and SpeakersThe youth halaqa program is a safe and welcoming space for Muslim youth to connect with each other, share their experiences, and deepen their understanding of Islam. It provides a platform for them to discuss the challenges they face in their daily lives, as well as the opportunities and strengths that come from being part of a diverse and vibrant communitEmpowering the Next Generation of American MuslimsThe MAS Youth Center of NJ’s halaqa program for teens is a weekly program that offers your child an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Islam, connect with peers, and strengthen their faith.
