Community Coordinator – U.S (Remote)

Job Summary
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Community Outreach and Volunteer Recruitment
● Develop and implement strategies to conduct outreach for recruitment of volunteers for various roles within HEALing communities, including event planning, patient coordination, hosting children receiving medical treatment, and going on medical missions.
● Manage the volunteer application process, including interviewing and screening potential volunteers.
● Conduct orientation sessions and training for volunteers to ensure they understand HEAL Palestine’s mission, values, and expectations.
2. Volunteer Management and Support
● Provide ongoing support and guidance to volunteers, addressing any questions or concerns.
● Maintain accurate records of volunteers and their activities
3. Develop and distribute regular communications to keep volunteers informed about upcoming opportunities, updates, and events.
4. Creation of new HEALing Communities
● Support current HEALing communities all over the U.S.
● Support volunteers who want to establish new HEALing communities.
● Develop a strategy for establishing new HEALing communities.
5. Coordination with Development Team
● Coordinate event and donor information with the development team as needed.
● Coordinate utilization of social media and newsletters to promote volunteer events and opportunities.
6. Event Coordination
● Assist volunteers in planning and executing a variety of fundraising and awareness events.
● Manage retreats, workshops, and other meetings with volunteers.
● Travel as needed to support events and community building
7. Evaluation and Reporting
● Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer programs, collecting feedback from volunteers and stakeholders.
● Prepare regular reports on volunteer activities, participation, and impact for internal and external audiences.
Required Skills
- ● Demonstrated experience in event coordination.
- ● Demonstrated experience in community and/or volunteer outreach.
- ● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- ● Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- with the ability to engage and
- motivate volunteers.
- ● Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for events and
- missions.
- ● Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally to support
- communities in events and community building.
- ● Cultural awareness and sensitivity working with communities affected by conflict and displacement.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications
- Public Relations
- or a related field preferred.
